WARNING: There may offensive (non-curse words, of course) phraseology in this article but the intent is sincerely to change your life for the better. ~JB
What in the world am I saying here??? You're fat because you want to be skinny? YUP. That's right...
Let's dig a little deeper...
You want to lose weight, you get a personal trainer, you clean out your house of junk food, you start counting calories, let the race begin!
Well hold on. Wait a second. WHY are you doing this? What is your Motivation? Now I'm not going to get all 'Richard Simmons" on you but let me show you a phenomenon (and I can't think of a better way to describe this fascinating thing I see over and over again).
I have a client begin our SUPER FUN bootcamps (little plug, right =) and after opening up a little bit, them really becoming a part of the community, I learn a lot about this person. To get to the point, THEY ALREADY KNOW EVERYTHING!
Well, what do you need me for??
"I need motivation!" Do you really? "Yes, I need someone to hold me accountable."
You know what I find here? I can only keep someone as accountable as they want to be themselves. What I mean by that is I have clients who, when they're not in the mood, just chalk it up to, "I'm stressed" or "I had a bad day," etc.
WELL GUESS WHAT!!!! THOSE THINGS HAPPEN!!! Bad days come, stressful situations arise, life goes on. I'm not being insensitive but in order for me to truly help you I have to help you see something. YOU'RE FAT BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BE SKINNY! Or do I have that wrong??
Now you might be saying, "JB. What you mean to say is that you're fat because you want to be. Right?" No. I mean to say just what I said. You're fat because you WANT TO be skinny.
I'm fat because I want to be skinny?? Still don't get it...
Here's what I mean before I say it so many times I get blue in the face or you fall asleep.
The MAIN CONTRIBUTING FACTOR to your weight gain, plateaus, belly fat, etc. is that you have FAT PERSON HABITS.
You need to write this one down! FAT-PERSON HABITS.
When you decide that you need a change you take care of all of the external factors that you can delegate to someone else to be responsible for but the personal factors you're not dealing with. In this way you "want to be skinny" but you're not "behaving like a skinny person". When you begin to take on habits and behaviors of "skinny people" you'll notice that your weight loss problems are a thing of the past!
This may sound oversimplified but it's not. It really is THAT SIMPLE while at the same time EXTREMELY HARD.
The habits that you've developed have been engrained in you for years and now I'm asking you to change that. Better than that, I'm asking you to NOTICE those habits. That's all I want you to do for now.
In the next few days I think I need to stay on this topic so I'll be getting into the details of "Revealing the Secret Habits and Behaviors of Skinny People."
I don't mean to leave you hanging but just like I said before. You probably already know everything and I'm not being a Smart A@# about that. Begin to take a look at yourself and really observe Fat-People Behaviors that you have and take baby steps to Annihilating them!
